INDIANTOWN, Fla. (CBS12) — A legal battle has erupted in Martin County as the developer behind a massive data center project files a sprawling lawsuit against the Village of Indiantown, its village council, planning board, and local residents.
Silver Fox 606 LLC filed the complaint and verified petition for a writ of prohibition, claiming local officials are illegally derailing its $25 million project.

Silver Fox purchased the over 600-acre property at 13820 SW Silver Fox Lane in 2025 following zoning verifications confirming that computer and data processing facilities were permitted as an as-of-right use in Heavy Industrial districts.
Following the 2026 municipal elections, a newly sworn-in village council attempted to stall or ban data center developments despite what the lawsuit alleges were prior municipal marketing efforts that actively recruited similar tech infrastructure.

Indiantown’s Community and Economic Development Director administratively approved the Silver Fox plat on September 17.
The lawsuit highlights a turbulent political climate, pointing to a September 1 emergency council meeting where the village manager and long-serving village attorney were ousted. Shortly after, an administrative appeal was filed by a local resident seeking to overturn the director’s approvals.
Silver Fox’s legal team argues that the planning, zoning, and appeals board lacks the legal jurisdiction to review the plat approval, citing state statutes rendering recorded plats unassailable without landowner consent.
Furthermore, the suit alleges that the Village Council violated Florida’s Sunshine Law during the abrupt personnel changes.
The developer is seeking emergency injunctive relief, a preliminary injunction halting any stop-work orders or retroactive reviews, and declaratory judgments affirming its vested development rights.
