A man accused of stealing over $1,000 worth of merchandise from stores in Hialeah was arrested on Sunday, authorities said.
Orlando Drekeramos, 31, was charged with retail theft.
According to authorities, on May 26, Drekeramos was seen on surveillance video entering a Target store in Hialeah and started grabbing razors and putting them in a bag.
An arrest report said that Drekeramos then walked past cashiers and left the store without paying. He took $272 worth of merchandise.
Months after that first incident, officers on Oct. 11 arrived at the same Target, where they met with a witness who said they saw Drekeramos stealing razors and perfume and putting them in his bag, and then leaving the store, the report said.
Drekeramos, the report said, was then spotted by an officer.
When Drekeramos’ bag was searched, the stolen merchandise was found, which amounted to $401.13, the report said.
Drekeramos, the report said, was also involved in another robbery on June 21, where he took about $448.33 worth of merchandise.
He was then arrested.
