TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Leon County Schools fifth grader got a behind-the-scenes look at the Tallahassee Fire Department by stepping into a leadership role for the day.
Carter served as “Fire Chief for a Day,” starting with a special pickup from Engine 9 before heading to the Public Safety Complex. There, he led a command staff meeting and toured the Traffic Unit and the Consolidated Dispatch Agency.
Carter also visited City Hall, then had lunch at Station 3 before responding to calls alongside firefighters.
