The “Magic Mike” house in the Tampa Bay, Florida, area has returned to market for $9.8 million, down from the $12 million it was asking five months ago when it first listed for sale.

The 7,825-square-foot waterfront mansion was under construction at the time of the 2012 film, and it served as the job site where Channing Tatum in the titular role worked his day job as a roofer. In fact, in one of the opening scenes, Magic Mike can be seen laying the clay tiles that make up the home’s classic Spanish clay-tile roof.

The five-bedroom home was completed in 2013 in corresponding Spanish-inspired style, with a stucco facade, columned entryway, balustraded patios, and multiple levels of rounded and angled rooms.

It sits on a 0.36-acre lot at the end of a canal on Paradise Key, to the south of St. Petersburg. Its position at the east of the block means it has an expansive 200 feet of water frontage and direct views of Tampa Bay and the mainland, rather than houses across the waterway.

The home’s centerpiece is the double-height great room on the main level with a two-level window facing the bay, flanked by an equally tall sitting room and a kitchen with a concave bank of windows. A full wing off the sitting room is dedicated to the primary suite as well as a media room or theater, while a parallel wing on the second floor serves as a guest suite with its own living room, according to the listing with Jennifer Zales of Coldwell Banker Realty.

The sellers purchased the lot in 2009 for $1.2 million and first listed the home with Zales in May for exactly 10 times that. The listing was pulled in August and relisted this week for the new price.

The sellers and agent could not immediately be reached for comment.
