CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A crash on the Midpoint Bridge briefly shut down a major roadway in Cape Coral early Wednesday morning.
According to the Cape Coral Fire Department, Engine 3 and Rescue 3 responded to a single-vehicle crash on the eastbound Midpoint Bridge at 5:00 a.m.
The driver only suffered minor injuries and did not need to be taken to a hospital.
Veterans Memorial Parkway was shut down east of Del Prado Blvd while Florida Department of Transportation crews made repairs, with all traffic diverted during that time.
The road reopened at 8:15 a.m.
