Miami’s grocery scene is about to get a whole lot more delicious. Wilder, a new neighborhood market, is opening this fall at 3250 NE 1st Avenue — bringing thoughtfully sourced groceries, chef-driven prepared foods, and genuine hospitality together under one roof.

A higher standard for everyday food

Wilder was founded by entrepreneur and former startup operator Danielle Axman, who set out to build the kind of market she always wished existed: one where the standards are real, the food is genuinely delicious, and eating well feels like a pleasure, not a project. Every product on the shelves and every dish from the kitchen is guided by The Wilder Standard, the market’s rigorous sourcing and ingredient framework, developed alongside independent food, health, and sustainability experts — including the Environmental Working Group’s research team under Ken Cook.

Local farms, Michelin-starred cooking

The shelves will lean local, with sourcing partners including Tiny Farms, Paradise Farms, and Glaser’s Organic Farms. The culinary and beverage program is being developed by Grassfed Culture Hospitality, the Michelin-starred Miami team behind Los Félix and Krüs Kitchen — spanning hot and cold prepared foods, sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, and a beverage lineup rooted in organic, natural, and biodynamic wines, craft beer, and non-alcoholic options.

Major Food Group comes on board

The backing is serious: Major Food Group — the hospitality group behind Carbone, Sadelle’s, ZZ’s Club, Dirty French, and more — joins Wilder as a founding investor and strategic advisor, advising on long-term growth and expansion beyond the first location. The 8,000-square-foot market, designed by Miami-based Love Lake Studio, will also feature a café, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor pick-up window.
