The Steelers got back in the win column and put up a season-high 34 points in last week’s 34-22 home win over the Indianapolis Colts, improving to 3-2 on the season to remain within a game of the first-place Baltimore Ravens in the competitive AFC North Division. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers delivered a vintage performance, completing 22 of 31 passes for 235 yards with three touchdown passes and no interceptions, and running back Jaylen Warren had a breakthrough day with 188 total yards and two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving). Meanwhile, the Steelers defense put a lid on Jonathan Taylor and the Colts rushing attack to the tune of 66 yards and 2.8 yards per carry, while limiting the Colts to 5.9 yards per pass attempt and 1-for-3 on red-zone conversions.

The Buccaneers won their first game of the season with a stunning “Thursday Night Football” effort for a 24-16 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. While the Cowboys did virtually everything in their power to give the game away, including three team turnovers and a back-breaking interception to end a potential game-tying drive at Tampa Bay’s 12-yard line. But the Bucs also did enough to claim victory with a breakout performance that started with rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels, who completed 19 of 25 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown, and running back Bucky Irving with 165 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving). That same formula, which yielded 419 total yards and 24 first downs in the Week 5 win over Dallas, is likely to be at the heart of Tampa Bay’s effort to topple the Steelers on Sunday.
