PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Port St. Lucie man whose TikTok and Twich bios identify him as a “cybersecurity engineer” was jailed Wednesday after police reopened an investigation that had been closed in May.
Mark Stephen Asea, 36, was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail on Sept. 30 at 10:19 a.m. on one pending count of offense against computer users, according to jail records. His bond was set at $35,000. An earlier stalking charge appears to have been dropped.
The charge stems from an earlier investigation in which detectives accused Asea of gaining access to women’s electronic devices and using TikTok posts to discuss information they said was private.
In a warrant affidavit, a detective described reviewing videos from an account linked to Asea. The profile’s bio identifies its user as a “narcissistic abuse survivor,” “former satanist,” “empath,” “cybersecurity engineer” and “woodsman.”
Police said one video included references to a woman’s password, device information, banking activity, license plate number and possible location tracking. The woman told investigators the password had been shared only in a closed TikTok group chat and that she had not given Asea permission to share it.
Another woman told police Asea previously had remote access to her computer to help with an application. She became concerned, investigators said, after an image from a private Telegram message appeared in one of his TikTok posts.

The earlier affidavit alleged Asea posted more than 100 TikTok videos mentioning one of the women, including as many as six in a day. Detectives also cited videos that appeared to show computer equipment and coding as they investigated whether he had accessed devices without authorization.
Asea’s booking photo shows him with long dark hair and prominent geometric tattoos across his face.
