An investigation was underway after human remains were found when crews responded to a fire in Miami on Thursday.
Miami Police officials said officers and Miami Fire Rescue crews responded to the fire in the area of Northwest 7th Street and 36th Avenue just before 11:40 a.m.
During the response, bones were found in the area that were later confirmed to be human remains, police said.
A preliminary investigation suggests the remains may be from a person who’d died some time ago, officials said.
