JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ashco Centers has unveiled plans for a proposed 4.87-acre mixed-use development along the St. Johns River at 1701 Prudential Drive on Downtown Jacksonville’s Southbank.
The project, called The Seaport at St. Johns, would include two towers with high-end residences and a luxury hotel, 110,000 square feet of retail space, a grocery store and waterfront dining. Plans also call for a marina, public promenade and plaza, and a walkable connection to the Southbank Riverwalk.
The Jacksonville-based, family-owned company says the project would create a new community destination along the riverfront.

“This project puts Jacksonville’s greatest natural asset, the St. Johns River, at the heart of downtown life,” founder Edward Ashurian said. “We envision a community gathering place on the St. Johns River where everyone can dine at the water’s edge, stroll the riverfront, and explore new amenities.”
Tiffany Ashurian, the company’s vice president of leasing and acquisitions, said Ashco is inviting potential operators to participate in the project.

“For more than 50 years, Ashco Centers has built and operated Class ‘A’ shopping centers across Northeast Florida,” he said. “Now we’re bringing that same discipline and stewardship to the Southbank.”
