ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A traffic stop along the Florida Turnpike on Tuesday morning ended with six passengers running away, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
In a release, an FHP spokeswoman said the incident happened around 7:17 a.m. at mile marker 267 in Ocoee.
“Our trooper conducted a traffic stop on (a 2018 Ford F-350) for improper lane change and improper tag display,” the release reads. “The driver began to pull over, and six passengers ran from the vehicle on foot.”
According to the release, all six passengers were ultimately located, and three were placed under arrest on charges of resisting.
Meanwhile, the driver — identified as a 23-year-old man — remained in the vehicle, troopers said.
Four people were also turned over to Border Patrol, troopers added.
