TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man accused of attacking and robbing a Florida State University student is now headed to prison.
Court records show 42-year-old Rodney Joyner was sentenced late Monday to ten years in prison, followed by 15 more on probation.

Per court documents, Joyner tackled a student to the ground outside of Gilchrist Hall and robbed him of his phone while holding a knife. The student reportedly escaped and alerted police by pressing a button on a nearby campus security pole.
The student sustained an injury to the back of their head that required staples, according to court documents.
Joyner was found guilty of robbery and aggravated battery at trial last month.
