ORLANDO, Fla. – A U.S. lawmaker from Florida announced his office was evacuated after a “suspicious package” showed up on Friday.
That lawmaker — Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.) — said the package was found at his office in Orlando.
“Today, my office received a suspicious package matching those reported by other offices across the country,” he said. “As a precaution, our office has been evacuated. U.S. Capitol Police and the Orlando Police Department have been notified, and the appropriate authorities are responding.”
Frost also said he and his staff are safe.
