SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida man faces a first-degree murder charge after allegedly shooting his girlfriend and running her over near a bar while his daughter and the family dog were in the car.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, to a shooting at Harbor Bar, 840 Main St.

Deputies said their investigation found that the suspect, Christopher “Dodge” Smith, entered the bar, leaving his 5-year-old daughter and the dog in the parking lot. Smith later left the bar with his girlfriend, Jessica Antolini, who he was seen arguing with.

During the argument, Smith allegedly shot Antolini, then fled in his vehicle with his daughter and the dog inside. Deputies said he ran over Antolini as he drove away.
