TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Just hours before kickoff, Rickards’ scheduled home game against Mosley Friday night has been scrapped.
According to a social media post from Mosley Football, the Dolphins were informed while traveling to Tallahassee Friday that “Rickards did not have security for the game” scheduled to be played at Rickards High School.
WCTV Sports’ Alison Posey confirmed with Rickards and Leon County Schools that the game is off for Friday. LCS said in a statement, “There was no security scheduled to be at Rickards tonight as this is the third time the game has been rescheduled.”
LCS also said that the district reached out to other law enforcement agencies but could not obtain sufficient staffing for the game.
Because the Raiders and Dolphins are district opponents, the game must be rescheduled. Late Friday afternoon, Mosley announced that the game has been moved to 7 p.m. Eastern time Saturday at Deane Bozeman School in Panama City.
