What is your top priority if elected?

Priority 1:Families across Casselberry are feeling the pinch in their wallets, from the gas pump to the grocery store. Keeping more money in residents’ pockets while maintaining a balanced budget is a top priority. Infrastructure and public safety must come first. I will focus on responsible budgeting, making sure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, and seeking grants and partnerships with local organizations to reduce costs while maintaining the quality of services our residents expect.

Priority 2: Neighboring cities have been recognized as some of the safest in the state, and Casselberry should strive for that same standard. Residents deserve to raise their families in safe neighborhoods. I will fight to ensure our local law enforcement has the tools, staffing, and training needed to keep our community safe. Public safety isn’t optional. It’s a promise we must deliver to every resident.

Priority 3: Casselberry’s city codes should protect our neighborhoods without placing unnecessary burdens on responsible homeowners. I will fight for clear, reasonable regulations, fair and consistent enforcement, and better communication between the city and residents.
It’s time to review outdated codes, protect homeowners’ ability to maintain and improve their properties, and ensure rules are applied fairly across every neighborhood.

What makes you the best candidate in the race?

I have called Casselberry home for nearly four decades. Born and raised in Central Florida, I attended Sterling Park Elementary, Tuskawilla Middle School, and graduated from Lake Howell High School in 1998. My first job was at Goodings in Casselberry, where I learned the value of hard work, treating people with respect, and serving my community.

Raised by my single mother and grandparents in a close-knit family, I learned the importance of responsibility, community, and helping others. Today, my wife, Lori, and I are raising our son in the community we love.

My commitment to Casselberry is reflected in my service on city, business, nonprofit, and community boards. These experiences have taught me how to listen to residents, work with others, and make thoughtful decisions that affect our community. I believe effective leadership starts with understanding the people you serve, putting residents first, and working together to build a stronger Casselberry.

What other issues would you tackle while in office?

I believe city resources should be invested fairly and responsibly, including in neighborhoods that have been overlooked. I will focus on aging infrastructure, road and drainage maintenance, safer sidewalks, and projects that make a meaningful difference in residents’ daily lives.

Casselberry’s parks, historic sites, lakes, waterways, trails, and greenspaces make our community special. I will support safe, clean, accessible parks and expanded recreational opportunities for walking, biking, and kayaking. I will also advocate for ADA improvements, including accessible playground equipment, so residents of all abilities can enjoy our parks. Responsible stormwater management, regular maintenance, and environmental stewardship are essential to protecting our lakes and waterways for future generations.

Residents deserve easy access to information about construction, road maintenance, city services, events, and government decisions. I will work with city staff to strengthen communication through social media, email, newsletters, the city website, and easy-to-understand meeting summaries.

Good government starts with good communication. Residents deserve to stay informed, be heard, and have a voice in their community.
