Construction on the $1.4B stadium is “on schedule to be completed in July 2028.” Jaguars
Jaguars President Mark Lamping suggested that fans can expect a “full eight-game” home schedule in Jacksonville when the team begins play in their renovated stadium in 2028. Lamping said, “If there’s a natural year where you probably want to play every home game in Jacksonville, it would be the year you open a new stadium.” Construction on the $1.4B stadium is “on schedule to be completed in July 2028.” Lamping “semi-cautioned that the decision to play a full schedule during the stadium’s debut season is ‘not finalized,’ and the team doesn’t have ‘total control,’ over scheduling.” The Jaguars played their 16th game in London against the Texans today at Wembley Stadium. Their agreement with Wembley expires after the game. The Jaguars are playing six games in Jacksonville this year in a reduced-capacity EverBank Stadium and will play all their stateside 2027 home games at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium. Lamping said that the Jaguars will play “at least one international game in 2027 and likely in London” (FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 10/17).
