After a noon game against Pittsburgh at home this week, the No. 1 Hurricanes will go back to playing in primetime against North Carolina.

Miami’s road game against the Tar Heels on Oct. 31 is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff, the ACC announced Monday. The game will be broadcast on ABC or ESPN; the network will be determined after this week’s games.

The Hurricanes (6-0, 4-0 ACC) have played only night games so far this season. The home game against Pitt is their first afternoon kickoff.

UM is coming off a double-overtime victory against rival FSU on Saturday. UNC (4-2, 2-1 ACC), coached by NFL legend Bill Belichick, also played a close game against a rival, beating Duke 24-20.

Miami has struggled with the Tar Heels in recent years. North Carolina has won five straight games against UM, dating back to 2019. The Hurricanes have not beaten the Tar Heels since 2018 and have not won in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, since 2017. UM is 3-8 all-time in Chapel Hill.
