ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The race for St. Petersburg mayor is taking the candidates across the city, trying to win over voters ahead of the November election.
Spectrum News spent a day on the campaign trail with each candidate — incumbent mayor Ken Welch and challenger and former governor Charlie Crist — to see how they’re making their case for the job.
Reporter Josh Rojas followed Welch, who is talking about his record and asking voters for another term, and Crist, as he rallied supporters, made phone calls and went door-to-door to win over voters.
