The University of North Florida Student Government elections office has canceled the fall election process because it is uncontested for the third consecutive year. Voting for the senatorial candidates was scheduled for Oct. 20 and 21, according to the SG website.

“The Office of Elections did not receive the required number of senatorial candidates. As a result, there will not be a competitive election process for the senatorial positions this semester,” Supervisor of Elections Asvidhi Ladumor said in an email sent to eligible senatorial candidates.

While 24 candidates originally expressed interest in the election, only 19 were found eligible to run as the process progressed, Ladumor said.
