PORT ST. LUCIE – The 36th annual Stuart Air Show was a weekend of thrilling aerobatics, dazzling fireworks, and stunning performances.
Thousands of people attended the weekend long event that featured national performers including Northern Stars Aeroteam, Mini Jet Airshows, Titan Aerobatic Team, Friends of Army Aviation – Helicopters, the Round Canopy Parachuting Team and more.
Visitors also enjoyed several interactive booths and stations. The U.S. Army booth had guests perform physical challenges, while at another booth young and old alike were able to fire blanks from AK-47’s and other large guns. Visitors could also ride aboard a UH-1 Huey helicopter or climb aboard an interdiction fast boat.
The Stuart Air Show is held annually on Veteran’s Day weekend and typically features military planes and teams. According to the organization’s website, those performers could not be in attendance. “Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, our U.S. military demonstration teams and static displays are unable to participate this year.”
