FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK) — A North Fort Myers man has been sentenced to 27 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine.
Frederick Taylor, 38, pleaded guilty on March 9, according to U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. U.S. District Judge Kyle Dudek handed down the sentence.
Court documents and evidence presented at Taylor’s sentencing hearing revealed he was a drug dealer operating in the Palmona Park neighborhood of North Fort Myers. He used a network of lower-level dealers and residences to distribute controlled substances, including methamphetamine.
On multiple occasions, Taylor took orders from a confidential informant and directed one of his subordinate dealers to fulfill the transaction. He ultimately sold nearly a pound of methamphetamine.
A search warrant executed at Taylor’s residence revealed multiple firearms and approximately $12,000 in cash.
