Trade those broomsticks in for bicycles and golf carts at the annual Sanford Witches Ride this weekend. Participants will roll (or fly) with a cackle through Historic Downtown Sanford in their Halloween finery, with prizes for outstanding outfits and creatively decorated rides. The ride begins at Veterans Memorial Park at 5 p.m. before heading to Celery City Craft to continue the affair with live music by the Smoking Jackets Trio, activities and a costume contest. Originating to honor the memory of Amanda Butler, Sanford comes together to celebrate her memory at this Spooky Season tradition.

5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, Veterans Memorial Park, 116 W. Seminole Blvd., Sanford, doorlandonorth.com, free.
