FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK) — Lee Memorial Hospital Inc. has purchased a former Ruby Tuesday restaurant in Fort Myers for $2.2 million, according to commercial real estate brokerage LQ Commercial Group.
The property, located at 9001 Park Royal Drive, is a 5,398-square-foot freestanding building near the entrance to the HealthPark Medical Campus and Golisano Children’s Hospital.

According to an Oct. 19 news release from LQ Commercial Group, Lee Memorial Hospital Inc. purchased the property from Ruby Tuesday Hobart Exchange LLC.
LQ Commercial Group Senior Associate Bob Pekol represented the seller in the transaction.
The brokerage said the property attracted significant buyer interest, going from its initial listing to a pending contract in less than two months.
“Freestanding second-generation restaurants in a location like this are rare, and the market responded fast,” Pekol said. “Interest from multiple groups is what moved it from listing to contract so quickly.”
The property is situated in an area with approximately 37,000 vehicles passing daily, according to LQ Commercial Group.
The brokerage said the transaction reflects continued interest in commercial properties in Southwest Florida.
The news release did not specify what Lee Memorial Hospital Inc. plans to do with the former restaurant.
An earlier version of this article’s headline referred to Lee Memorial, which may have implied a connection to the Lee Health hospital system. The buyer is identified in the transaction announcement as Lee Memorial Hospital Inc., which is a separate entity.
