PORT ST. LUCIE — New security technology and a visitor check-in system at Port St. Lucie City Hall have earned the city recognition from the Florida Local Government Information Systems Association.
The city received the honor at the association’s Technology Excellence and Achievement Awards for a project led by its Information Technology Department, with support from the City Manager’s Office and the Police and Facilities departments.
The upgrades include advanced security-screening technology and a visitor management system designed to speed up check-in and improve the experience for people visiting City Hall.
The changes are intended to make it easier for residents to access city services and attend meetings while helping employees manage daily operations more efficiently.
The visitor management system also tracks foot traffic, providing data city officials can use to identify peak periods and plan staffing needs.
The project reflects the city’s use of technology to improve building security and service for residents and visitors.
