TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee police officers are spending time in local classrooms this week, reading to students as part of United Way of the Big Bend’s Read “UNITED” Week.
Members of the Tallahassee Police Department are visiting area schools alongside other community volunteers to encourage a love of reading, connect with students and support literacy efforts across the city. The initiative also helps build classroom libraries for students throughout the community.
