Former state Sen. Annette Taddeo is taking her CFO campaign north.
The Democratic nominee announced a weekend itinerary beginning Friday at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, followed by voter turnout, community and faith-based events across five North Florida counties as she seeks to oust Republican CFO Blaise Ingoglia.
She’s heading to the capital and Panhandle less than two weeks before Election Day. Early voting is already underway in parts of the state.
Her campaign announced the following stops:
— Friday, Oct. 23, in Tallahassee: FAMU FAMFEST, 12-3 p.m., at the Will Packer Amphitheater, 1675 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
— Friday, Oct. 23, in Tallahassee: FAMU National Pan-Hellenic Council Step Show, 7-9 p.m., at the Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center, 1800 Althea Gibson Way.
— Saturday, Oct. 24, and Sunday, Oct. 25, in North Florida: Early voting, community and faith-based events in Gadsden, Jackson, Walton, Okaloosa and Leon counties. Specific times and venues were not included in the announcement.
The trip follows an eight-stop campaign itinerary Taddeo completed last week spanning Sarasota, The Villages, Orlando and South Florida, which included appearances with Democratic U.S. Rep. Maxwell Frost; state Rep. Anna Eskamani, who is running for Orlando Mayor; state Rep. Angie Nixon, who is running for U.S. Senate; and Democratic Lieutenant Governor nominee Gwen Graham.
Taddeo and Ingoglia have remained closely matched in several surveys despite Republicans’ statewide registration advantage of more than 1.5 million voters.
A James Madison Institute poll released earlier this month put both candidates at 43% support. A separate St. Pete Polls survey found Ingoglia ahead 44% to 42%, within its 3.4-percentage-point margin of error.
Ingoglia, a former state Senator and Republican Party of Florida Chair, took office through a July 2025 appointment by Gov. Ron DeSantis, succeeding Jimmy Patronis after his departure for Congress.
The CFO heads the Department of Financial Services, serves as State Fire Marshal and shares responsibility for insurance oversight. The position is one of Florida’s three Cabinet offices.
Election Day is Nov. 3.
