TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The nice weather continues for your weekend, but a little deja vu with winds picking back up.
Increased fire risk
Low humidity and strong winds will lead to an increased fire risk across North Florida and South Georgia. Avoid any type of burning this weekend. Any fire that does start could spread quickly because of the strong winds through Monday.
Rough waters
Strong winds will make conditions rough for boaters this weekend. A small craft advisory is in effect through Monday.
Saturday: Sunny and breezy. Northeast winds 15 to 25 knots. Waves 2 to 4 feet. Choppy on the bays and protected waters. A moderate rip current risk.
Sunday: Sunny and windy. Northeast winds 20 to 30 knots. Waves 5 to 9 feet. Rough on the bays and protected waters. A high rip current risk.
Monday: Sunny and windy. Northeast winds 20 to 30 knots. Waves 5 to 9 feet. Rough on the bays and protected waters. A high rip current risk.
Overall good weekend
Outside of the strong winds, there will be plenty of sunshine across the area. Highs will be pleasant in the upper 70s. Morning temperatures in the low to mid 50s.
Good weather continues
Next week, the weather pattern does not budge much. Little to no chance of rain through your workweek. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Morning temperatures will not be as chilly, in the low to mid 50s.
