TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A woman is behind bars after a man was shot in the head on Catawba Street Monday night, according to Tallahassee Police.
Priscilla Barnes, 24, faces a charge of attempted homicide in connection to the shooting, the police department wrote in a press release Wednesday morning.

Her arrest comes after the incident transpired just before 11 p.m. Monday in the 4000 block of Catawba Street, police said.
Barnes and the victim were arguing that night just before police said the 24-year-old woman shot the man in the head with a handgun.
“The bullet did not penetrate the victim’s skull, and he remained conscious and alert,” police said.
Moments later, Barnes called 911 and was detained as soon as officers arrived at the scene, the press release revealed.
The man was then transported to a local hospital, where he is expected to survive, according to the police department.
