Allison PetroORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —

An Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested Sunday on a charge of soliciting for prostitution, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputy Eric Raymond was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, according to OCSO.

Raymond was hired by OCSO in August 2020 and works in the Uniform Patrol Division.

OCSO said he has been relieved of all law enforcement duties and reassigned to administrative duties while the criminal case is pending.

Once the criminal case is complete, OCSO said it will conduct its own internal investigation. The agency said the results of that investigation will be made public when it is completed.

“At the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, we are committed to ensuring that those who serve the community as deputies follow the laws they are responsible to uphold,” Sheriff John Mina said in a release.
