A project to expand Cape Coral Parkway between Coronado Parkway and Del Prado Boulevard to six lanes has been delayed by one year.Announced by Wendy Williams, the principal engineer for the City of Cape Coral, during Wednesday’s city council meeting, the scope of the project includes expanding the road into three lanes in each direction, resurfacing, restriping, median removal, signal adjustments and signal retiming.Initially, the project was set to be completed in October; however, the removal of the median between travel lanes is delaying efforts.
