6️⃣Thing to do this weekend in Central Florida: OSC After Dark to Brick or Treat

  • October 28, 2026

ORLANDO, Fla. – From a costume party inside a museum to a daytime street festival with a pet costume contest, Central Florida is stacked for Halloween weekend. Here are six events happening Oct. 30-31, 2026, ranked for broad appeal, uniqueness and how easy they are to drop into your plans.

1) OSC After Dark Halloween Fundraiser (21+)

If you want Halloween night to feel like a big, social “grown-ups only” event, this is the one. Orlando Science Center is decorated for Halloween, and the vibe is part costume party, part interactive museum night with laser light shows, a costume contest, karaoke, trivia, and time to explore the exhibits without kids. There’s also the observatory for some late-night skywatching, plus a vendor market and food available for purchase. Proceeds support the Science Center’s mission.

📍Orlando Science Center | 777 E Princeton St, Orlando, FL 32803

📅October 31, 8-11 p.m.

🎟️ General admission tickets are $50 and only $35 for OSC Members and Young Professionals. Purchase tickets here

2) LEGOLAND Florida Resort: Brick or Treat

Brick or Treat is designed for families — especially kids who want the Halloween payoff without anything too scary. On Oct. 30 and 31, the park adds themed fun across the day, with seven trick-or-treat candy locations opening at 2 p.m. (courtesy bags included). New this year: Brick or Treat Street, an indoor, climate-controlled walkthrough with themed LEGO monster houses where kids knock or ring bells for treats. When the sun goes down, the Monster Skytacular brings a nighttime drone show over Lake Eloise with 500 synchronized drones, plus fireworks and music.

📅October 30 & 31

LEGOLAND Florida is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

🧱Costume tips:

Adults and children are welcome to wear costumes, however, costumes depicting graphic violence, gore, mutilation, or other content that may be inappropriate for young children are not permitted.

Plan for weather: We recommend packing a change of clothes in the event of rain or high temperatures.

3) Daylite Halloween Festival at Great Southern Box Company

This one’s for anyone who wants Halloween energy during daylight hours — with music doing most of the heavy lifting. You’ll also find an artist and vendor market, a supercar showcase, and food and drinks available — including international food options and a full bar. It’s listed as safe and family-friendly and all ages, with free parking and a $300 costume contest if you’re showing up in your best look.

The costume contest is a standout here because it’s not just for people — pets can compete, too.
