TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Sunday was the last day of early voting in Leon County, with more than 50,000 people casting their ballots early and another 26,000 voting by mail, according to the Leon County Supervisor of Elections website.
At the Bruce J. Host Northeast Branch Library, the line stretched out the door and around the building as voters took advantage of their last chance to cast a ballot before Election Day on November 3.
In total, more than 12,000 people have voted early at the Bruce J. Host Northeast Branch Library location.

One voter, Reshmeena Ratnaswamy, said it was important for her to make sure local officials support the community.
“I wanted to make sure that we were able to find local officials who really supported our community, helping us find initiatives to support affordable housing and then most importantly being a voice for regular everyday citizens in the community,” Ratnaswamy said.
While early voting is now over, voters still have one more chance to cast their ballots on Election Day this Tuesday.
The Supervisor of Elections also says if you haven’t sent in your mail-in ballot yet, don’t put it in the mail. Instead, voters should drop off their ballots at a secure intake station by 7 p.m. Tuesday.
