ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County has collected more than 5,000 pounds of peanut butter for families in need during the holiday season as a part of Florida’s 2025 Peanut Butter Challenge.

Annually held throughout October, the Florida Peanut Butter Challenge is for unexpired and unopened peanut butter jars. All 67 counties in Florida participate.

All donations collected during this challenge will go to pantries across the state to help feed thousands of families. Florida is the United State’s third leading peanut butter producer.

Orange County’s collection efforts were led by Orange County’s Cooperative Extension Division.  Last year, Orange County won the 2024 Peanut Butter Challenge and secured second place in 2023.
