LARGO — Pinellas County sheriff’s detectives arrested a Largo man Nov. 6 on charges of possessing child pornography and attempting to solicit a minor online, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Daniel Buckbee, 26, was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on four counts of possession of child pornography and one count of seduction of a child using the internet, deputies said.
The investigation began after detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit received information that a user on the social media platform Discord was attempting to engage in sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl online, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives identified Buckbee as a suspect and learned he was also in possession of child pornography, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing, deputies said.
