Passenger service between West Palm Beach and Orlando has been suspended for the Brightline rail service due to inclement weather.
In a statement released Monday, Nov. 2, Brightline said it has temporarily suspended service to and from Orlando due to flooding conditions affecting the rail corridor in Brevard County.
It was not immediately clear when service will resume. Skies are expected to clear across eastern Florida by the middle of the week.
Train service from West Palm Beach to Miami continues to operate normally.
Customers traveling to and from Orlando are advised to the check the Brightline app or social media accounts for updates. Updates will also be posted to the company’s website at www.gobrightline.com.
“The safety of our guests, team members and the communities we serve remains our highest priority,” Brightline said in a statement. “Maintenance personnel are on scene, and train service will resume when conditions allow safe movement through the area.”
