MIDDLETOWN, CT. (WFSB) – The Superintendent of Middletown Public Schools is facing a DUI and another charge in Florida.
The I-Team confirmed that Alberto Vazquez Matos was charged with driving under the influence and having more than one valid driver’s license.
The incident happened in July, but now the board of education will be weighing in.
51-year-old Matos has been Middletown’s superintendent since 2022. The district said that they don’t comment on individual personnel matters when asked for a comment.
There will be a special board of education meeting Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to discuss his employment.
