Floodwaters will take time to recede, especially in Brevard County, where some neighborhoods experienced extreme rainfall and widespread flooding.

If possible, stay home until water levels go down and roads are safe to travel. If you must drive through neighborhoods, slow down to avoid creating wakes that can push water into homes and businesses.

Never drive or walk through floodwater, and keep children away from flooded streets, ditches and waterways. Floodwater can be deeper and more dangerous than it looks.
