PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — Port St. Lucie voters who were assigned to vote in Precinct 90, Legacy High School are now being told the polling place is changing locations.

The site closed at 1 p.m. Voters were directed to Precinct 89 at Tradition Town Hall, 10799 SW Civic Lane, Port St. Lucie, Florida 34987.

It was a confusing day for voters assigned to the precinct, due to flooding impacting travel to Legacy High School. Originally, the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections instructed voters to take Midway Road and Glade Extension to reach Legacy High School.

A CBS12 News crew was on the scene Tuesday morning, where they encountered flooding and roadblocks on Southwest Village Parkway earlier and had to turn around. Police had blocked that entrance, but voters could reach the school by taking an alternate route.

Port St. Lucie voters are choosing the city’s next mayor Tuesday.
