JACKSONVILLE, Texas (KLTV) – Jacksonville ISD named Deputy Superintendent Sara Gill as the lone finalist for superintendent, district spokesperson Grace Taylor announced Tuesday.
District trustees voted in Gill’s favor when they met for the Board of Trustee’s monthly meeting.
Currently the deputy superintendent, Gill has spent all 29 years of her public education career with the district, including 18 years in leadership roles, according to Taylor.
Following the vote, a 21-day notice period began under Texas law and the Board may consider her promotion at a future meeting.
