Sunny skies and mild temperatures across Northeast Florida

  • October 15, 2025

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you loved yesterday’s weather, you’re in luck—today will bring more of the same, with lots of sunshine and another beautiful day to enjoy across Northeast Florida.

We started out the morning with some fog, especially as you get closer to the 7 to 9 a.m. window. Some of that visibility may be reduced, but as the sun gets higher, the fog will burn off. Temperatures this morning were in the low 60s around Jacksonville and along the coast, dipping into the 50s as you move inland toward places like Macclenny and Waycross.

By 10 a.m., most of us will see temperatures climbing into the 70s, and highs should reach the low to mid-80s by the afternoon. This is just a bit below our usual average for this time of year, and it feels fantastic.

Our forecast keeps those mostly sunny days around through the weekend, with only a small warming trend on Sunday. Daytime highs should stay in the 80s, with comfortable mornings and evenings for any plans you might have.

Beach days come with safety risks

It’s a great day to head to the beach, but please keep safety in mind. The rip current risk is high right now, so use extra caution if you’re venturing into the water. Water temperatures are in the upper 70s, with air temperatures in the 70s and 80s, making it feel just about perfect outside.

The UV index is also forecast to be high, so don’t forget the sunscreen if you’re spending time outside, whether you’re at the beach, hitting the tennis courts, or just enjoying the sunshine.

Tropical Storm Lorenzo: No local impact

You might have heard about Tropical Storm Lorenzo, but there’s nothing for us to worry about locally. Lorenzo is moving northwest at 13 mph with winds around 60 mph, but it’s having zero effect on our weather here in Jacksonville. The tropics remain quiet for our area, and any new advisories will be monitored closely by News4JAX and The Weather Authority team.

Stay tuned for the latest updates, and enjoy this stretch of phenomenal weather while it lasts!
