WASHINGTON (TNND) — Over 150 illegal migrant sexual predators were arrested in Florida during an operation called “Operation Dirtbag” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Wednesday.

The 150 that were arrested in Florida were among 230 illegal migrants rounded up who were wanted for murder and drug crimes, according to the New York Post.

“This operation was called Operation Criminal Return,” Noem said during a Fox & Friends interview. “I call it Operation Dirtbag, because these individuals were sex offenders, but not just sex offenders, they targeted children.”

She said those arrested should never have been in the U.S.

“The fact that they were sexual deviants and perverts, and now we’ve gotten them off of our streets, it’s remarkable,” she said. “And we need to do more of it.”

During the interview, Noem was asked about the DHS operation going on in Chicago, Illinois despite objections from Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker.

On Monday evening, the Trump administration requested the Supreme Court show “extraordinary deference” to the president and affirm the National Guard’s deployment to Chicago.

“I’m just so thrilled with the results that we’ve had in Chicago, and we’re going to surge more resources there,” Noem said.

“We’re not going to just be in Chicago,” she added. “We’re spreading out to other cities and continuing to do our work. I won’t talk about specific operations, but we’re not going to give him any relief from his political rhetoric.”
