New video shows last month’s arrest of the mother of a missing 10-year-old South Florida girl who hasn’t been seen in months.
The video captured the Oct. 17 arrest of Passha Davis, the mother of Gabrielle “Gabby” Terrelonge, who remains missing.
Davis, 34, was detained that afternoon by Margate Police after a Dollar Tree reported someone matching her description shoplifted and then entered a Little Caesar’s pizza shop across the street.

She refused to identify herself and was arrested after facial recognition software matched her to her true identify and she continued to deny it, police said.
The video includes excerpts from that arrest – for resisting an officer without violence and falsely identifying oneself to police. It also shows the responding officer retrieving items taken from the Dollar Tree where he saw Davis stashing them as he pulled up on her. The Dollar Tree declined prosecution for theft.
Twelve days after her arrest, on Oct. 29, the father of Terrelonge, who said he hadn’t seen her since May, said he checked online to see where Davis and daughter might be after being unable to contact them and discovered Davis’ arrest.
But after contacting police and family, the father realized Terrelonge was nowhere to be found and that Davis never told police she had a daughter who was missing.

Davis was interviewed in jail by law enforcement on Oct. 31 and claimed she had turned the child over to the father, Gordon Terrelonge. Hours later, she was released on a $200 bond, but rearrested days later on child neglect charges after police could find no evidence supporting her claim she had turned the child over to the father.
According to a Broward Crime Stoppers flyer, Terrelonge and her mother were last seen getting off a Greyhound bus at the Florida Mall in Orlando on June 30.
The FBI, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Margate Police are searching for Terrelonge, and a $5,000 reward is being offered in her disappearance.
Anyone with information on Terrelonge’s whereabout is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS or the FBI.
