CENTRAL FLORIDA — The combination of continued storm recovery, rising grocery prices, the government shutdown and the short-term disruptions in funds for SNAP has many Central Floridians looking for some extra help to put a Thanksgiving dinner on the table this year.
The following turkey giveaways are planned in Central Florida leading up to the holiday, with as many details as could be found about eligibility to receive them.
In many cases, advanced registration may be required, or you might need to plan to arrive early to get in line because of high demand.
Turkey giveaway contest by Sedano’s and Magic 107.7 — They will give away 150 turkeys to winners, who must be available to pick up the turkey on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon or 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Enter via your iHeartRadio account.
B.J.’s Wholesale Clubs — Members who spent $150 or more in a single transaction on Nov. 1-10 can get a free turkey coupon. Bring the coupon in their app or on their BJs.com account between Nov. 15 and Nov. 26 to the wholesale club.
Brevard County
Saturday, Nov. 22 — Mayor’s Turkey Giveaway in Titusville. Registration in advance is required for the free turkey. Call 321-269-6555, ext. 107 to register. The event, featuring bounce houses and other fun giveaways for the family, will be from noon to 4 p.m. at Isaac Campbell Senior Park, 701 South St., in Titusville.
Flagler County
Tuesday, Nov. 18 — Residents of Flagler Beach must register by this date to sign up for a Thanksgiving meal to be delivered to their homes on Thanksgiving Day between 11 a.m. and noon. To register, call 386-517-2040, and leave a message that includes your phone number, address and the number of meals needed.
Orange County
Saturday, Nov. 15 — Orange County Sheriff’s Office annual Thanksgiving Giveaway, 9 a.m.-noon, or while supplies last, at the Central Operations Center at 2500 W. Colonial Dr. in Orlando. One turkey per household for Orange County residents.
Saturday, Nov. 22 — 5th Annual Fit for Peace Turkey Giveaway, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis at 3311 North Powers Dr. in Orlando. Pickup will be by drive-thru. Limit one turkey dinner per household or vehicle.
Monday, Nov. 24 — Turkey and sides giveaways to residents of the City of Orlando District 5 by a partnership including the Christian Science Center, the Coalition for the Homeless, Orlando City SC and the Orlando Pride and Publix, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or until the turkeys are gone, at Inter&Co Stadium, 655 W. Church St. in Orlando. Essential items also will be provided to Orlando area unhoused neighbors. Parking is available on the east side of the venue off Terry Avenue, with stadium access at Gate A on Church Street.
Tuesday, Nov. 25 — Turkey giveaway by The Pendas Law Firm., from 8:30 a.m. while supplies last, at its office at 625 E. Colonial Dr., in Orlando.
Tuesday, Nov. 25 — Turkey and canned food giveaway along with a kickball game, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., or while supplies last, inside the recreation center at Barnett Park, 4801 W. Colonial Dr., in Orlando. Tickets do not guarantee turkeys or turkey kits. Limit one supply giveaway per family or car. The giveaway is a partnership involving Mens Closet, its nonprofit MC Community Care, Second Harvest Food Bank, Orange County District 6 Commissioner Michael Scott, Orlando District 5 Commissioner Shan Rose, Mandell Law and HOS.
Wednesday, Nov. 26 — The West Orlando Jags will give away turkeys and other food items for those who are in need this holiday season starting at 5 p.m. and while supplies last at 794 South Tampa Ave. in Orlando.
Osceola County
Wednesday, Nov. 19 — Osceola County Thanksgiving Meal Distribution, 10 a.m. until meals are gone, at Archie Gordon Memorial Park soccer field, 420 Buenaventura Blvd. in Kissimmee. A frozen turkey and holiday meal essentials will be distributed in drive-thru lines to Osceola residents who bring their valid Florida driver’s license or Florida ID.
Saturday, Nov. 22 — The Caribbean and Floridian Association, in coordination with Solid Rock Community Church, will give away turkeys to Osceola residents at 10 a.m. or until supplies last, at Solid Rock Community Church, 1904 Michigan Ave., in Kissimmee.
Saturday, Nov. 22 — Freedom Revival Tour Fall Fest revival includes a free turkey giveaway on a first-come, first-serve basis. The event, which also features live music, DJs, food trucks, a kids zone and other family fun, lasts from noon to 4 p.m. at 2617 Michigan Ave. in Kissimmee.
Saturday, Nov. 22 — iRise Thanksgiving Fest 2025 brings families together to share joy, music and love and features a free turkey giveaway as long as supplies last. From noon to 5 p.m. inside the Kissimmee Civic Center, 201 E. Dakin Ave., in Kissimmee.
Seminole County
Tuesday, Nov. 25 — Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, from 10 a.m. while the supply lasts, at Tim Raines Field, 1211 S. Mellonville Ave., in Sanford.
Volusia County
Saturday, Nov. 22 — Thanksgiving Outreach turkey giveaway in drive-thru format, starting at 8 a.m. or while supplies last, at Trinity Church, 875 Elkcam Blvd., in Deltona.
Sunday, Nov. 23 — Turkey giveaway by Iglesia CDR Internacional for people who cannot afford one for Thanksgiving, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or until supplies are gone, at 951 N. Volusia Ave., in Orange City.
