The man accused of losing control of his speeding car and crashing into a group of Ybor City pedestrians, killing four, will not receive bond.

With the longest U.S. government shutdown over, state officials said today that they are working quickly to get full SNAP food benefits to millions of people, though it still could take up to a week for some to receive their delayed aid.
3. Treatment center says FSU’s Pritchard has completed ‘intensive rehabilitation’ after gunshot to head
Florida State freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard is ready to move “onto the next stage of his recovery” after completing 34 days of intensive rehabilitation, Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville posted on Facebook today.
4. Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson hospitalized for rare neurological disorder
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, who has been receiving around-the-clock care at home, has been hospitalized with a rare neurological disorder, according to his Chicago-based organization.
5. Manatees munch on lettuce while rehab home grows around them at ZooTampa
ZooTampa’s construction continues at the Manatee rescue and rehabilitation center with plans to open in spring of 2026.
