MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (CBS12) — The founder of the legal referral service 1-800-411-PAIN was arrested Friday after allegedly bringing a firearm to a high school in Miami.
Robert Cash Lewin, 59, was allegedly sitting atop the bleachers inside Miami Coral Park Senior High School gymnasium with a concealed firearm that became visible — prompting a swift response, according to a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) arrest affidavit.
The school’s principal told responding deputies that Lewin, dressed in a black hoodie, was spotted with a firearm exposed at his waistband while seated in the gym bleachers. A photo of the weapon was taken and circulated among staff, according to the affidavit.
Deputies were directed to Lewin’s vehicle — a black Lincoln Navigator with the license plate “411PAIN” — parked on school grounds. Deputies approached Lewin, conducted a pat-down, and discovered a semi-automatic handgun, an extra magazine, and a knife on his person, according to the MDSO.

Lewin reportedly told deputies the firearm’s presence on school property was accidental. A records check a deputy revealed no prior criminal history or firearm registration issues, according to the affidavit.
The weapon and magazine were impounded at Station 3, and Lewin was arrested for third-degree felony for possession of a firearm on school property, according to the affidavit.
Lewin is widely known in South Florida for founding 1-800-411-PAIN, a legal marketing firm that connects accident victims with attorneys and medical providers. The brand has become a household name through aggressive advertising across billboards, radio, and television.
