Eschewing coastal clichés, the home’s design strikes a balance between local ease and sophistication, featuring limestone, marble, wood, and rattan that culminate in a bright, natural atmosphere. Furnishings sourced from Florida’s vintage purveyors complete the picture, bringing the setting and story of the place to life. Art, both personal and curated, infuses cultural narratives, turning the living room into a gallery. A striking burned silk print interweaves the symbolism of African textiles, while unique ceramic vases from Miami-based Arrived Aliens lend a vibrant, tactile flair alongside a collection of global artworks.

A hammock from Lulu and Georgia invites relaxation.
“The best part of the entire process, honestly, was the people around us,” Zinkovskaya says. “Our contractors were wonderful. I still remember the owner of the millwork company coming in for the final kitchen installation, with all the marble and Moroccan tile already in place. He added the last touches, stepped back, and said, ‘I can’t believe we did this.’ It was such a genuine, touching moment. And our neighbors were just as supportive; they followed the progress, cheered us on, and celebrated every transformation inside and out. In the end, it’s always the people—the craftsmen, the collaborators, the community—who make a project truly special.”
