TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Crawfordville man was sentenced to 15 years in prison in connection to drug and gun charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Florida.
Jason Rigdon’s sentencing comes after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the attorney’s office wrote in a press release Friday.
The 44-year-old was arrested after investigators developed information in February indicating that Rigdon was involved in trafficking illegal firearms and methamphetamine, per the release.

“After a series of controlled operations during which methamphetamine and a handgun were purchased from the defendant,” the attorney’s office said that investigators then executed a search warrant in March at Rigdon’s home.
During that search of his home and the vehicle he was arrested in, authorities recovered 13 guns, “two of which had been reported stolen,” according to the release. Law enforcement also seized methamphetamine and ammunition.
Rigdon’s conviction and sentence were a result of a joint investigation by the Leon County and Wakulla County sheriff’s offices, Tallahassee Police, among other law enforcement agencies.
