Spectrum News is hearing from county agencies who are stating that 911 services are disrupted Friday afternoon.

Here is a list of the ones we know of so far.

CITRUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

“The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office is among multiple organizations that are currently experiencing a disruption in phone services. This disruption is affecting both our Non-Emergency AND 9-1-1 services.

“While 9-1-1 calls are still being processed, there may be a slight delay in connecting your call. If you’re using a cell phone, remember you can always text 9-1-1 for assistance!

“We’re actively working with our service providers to resolve this situation as swiftly as possible. We appreciate your understanding and will keep everyone informed as soon as services are back to normal.

“Please only use emergency lines for true emergencies to keep resources available for those in critical need.”

MARION COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

“All 911 and non-emergency phone lines are currently down in Marion County.

“If you need emergency assistance, TEXT 911 from your mobile device.

“Please do not call—text is the only way to reach help at this time.

“Stay tuned for updates as we work to restore service.”
