The Miami Hurricanes (7-2), the highest Atlantic Coast Conference team in the latest College Football Playoff rankings at No. 15, still needs a lot of help with five one-loss teams in front of them and hosts the NC State Wolfpack (5-4) in their final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon.

Miami rolled to a 38-10 ACC victory over visiting Syracuse last week, breaking open a scoreless game with two touchdowns late in the first half, including a 38-yard pick-six from Keionte Scott just 23 seconds after receiver Malachi Toney connected with quarterback Carson Beck on a 14-yard trick-play score. Beck was 18-of-24 for 247 yards and a touchdown, with Keelan Marion reeling in a 61-yard TD catch and Girard Pringle running for a score. The Hurricanes improved to 3-2 in the ACC with the win.

NC State returns from a bye after upsetting then-No. 8 Georgia Tech at home on Nov. 1 and needs one more win to become bowl eligible. The Wolfpack has a 2-3 mark in conference play, led by Hollywood Smothers, who has 825 rushing yards and six touchdowns in just eight games. CJ Bailey has thrown for 2,411 yards and 19 scores with seven interceptions, with Justin Joly catching 36 passes for 365 yards and five TDs.

The Wolfpack broke a run of four straight wins in the series by Miami with a 20-6 win at home on Nov. 4, 2024, with the Hurricanes leading all-time 11-6-1.
